Worship

Please join us in our sanctuary each Sunday at 10:00 am or online at vimeo.com/centralpreseugene.

Sunday morning worship is the highlight of our life together at Central. The experience is casual and traditional, creative and accepting; a nice blend. Come early to spend some time visiting with other members in the lobby, parlor, or harthex, or proceed to the sanctuary where you can light a candle, pray, and/or listen to the prelude in preparation for the worship experience.

Worship brings us together to hear God’s word, pray, be nourished at God’s table, and share in the life and love of this congregation. Exceptional music from the chancel choir, handbell choir, and occasional guest musicians provides an important dimension to our worship. We value a variety of music and are blessed with many talented musicians in our community!

All ages are welcome in worship. We have a welcoming, supervised kids’ space in the back of the Sanctuary where your children can be nearby and occupied. Art supplies, quiet activities, and books are abundant, and there are great beanbags for a cozy read.

Sunday worship begins at 10:00 A.M. Fellowship hour follows worship and is in the parlor. There you’ll find an opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors. Coffee or tea and cookies are available every Sunday, and a potluck is held in the fellowship hall on second Sundays from September through May.

Special seasonal services are also held throughout the church year, sometimes in the Sanctuary but also in the beautiful Chapel just across the hall. Advent and Lent are reflective times where we frequently have mid-week devotional services. And of course, we have special services on Christmas Eve and during Holy Week. Check the calendar for more specifics.

Large print bulletins, Bibles, and hearing assistance devices for the Sanctuary are available.
