Please join us in our sanctuary each Sunday at 10:00 am or online at vimeo.com/centralpreseugene.
Sunday morning worship is the highlight of our life together at Central. The experience is casual and traditional, creative and accepting; a nice blend. Come early to spend some time visiting with other members in the hallway or listening to the organ prelude in preparation for the worship experience.
Worship brings us together to hear God’s word, pray, be nourished at God’s table, and share in the life and love of this congregation. Exceptional music from the chancel choir, handbell choir, and occasional guest musicians provides an important dimension to our worship.
All ages are welcome in worship. We have a welcoming, supervised kid’s space in the back of the Sanctuary where your children can be nearby and occupied. Art supplies and books are abundant, and there are great beanbags for a cozy read. During the school year, Sunday School is just down the hall, where children can join with others for further learning. Classes begin after the children’s message and choir anthem. If you prefer, your children may remain in the pew with you or in the kid’s space. Childcare is available for children from birth through preschool age.
Sunday worship begins at 10:00. Sunday School for children follows at approximately 10:20. Fellowship hour, where there is more opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors, follows worship. Coffee or tea and cookies are available every Sunday, and a potluck is held on second Sundays from September through May.
Special seasonal services are also held throughout the church year, sometimes in the Sanctuary but also in the beautiful Chapel just across the hall. Advent and Lent are reflective times where we frequently have mid-week devotional services. And of course we have special services on Christmas Eve and during Holy Week. Check the calendar for more specifics.
Large print bulletins and Bibles and hearing assistance devices for the Sanctuary are available.
