Church Life

God made each of us to have a unique role in the body of Christ; each one of us has a particular gift and a place God has picked out for us to make the church a better place. If you’re feeling called to help the church in a particular way, please contact the church leader in charge of our various ministries; they will be more than happy to help you find God’s place for you at Central Presbyterian! Alternatively, you can also check out our Volunteer Application Form to see a list of positions or to apply online.

Missions:

Here at Central Presbyterian, we believe that mission is not just donating money to a worthy cause, but also rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in freeing the world from the bonds of sin and injustice! If you’d like to do more to help the homeless, the hungry, the lonely and despondent, please contact Missions Chair Gina Rivers.

Guest Follow Up:

Are you a people person? Does evangelism excite you? This may be the role for God has made for you! The guest follow up team takes the time to get to know people who visit Central Presbyterian, invite them to events and generally try to make them feel welcome. Contact Pastor Guy if this sounds interesting to you.

Nursery:

Do you love babies? Don’t mind dirty diapers? Our nursery team helps support our paid nursery staff during worship hours and special events by playing with toddlers and taking care of babies while Mom and Dad worship or fellowship. Please contact nursery coordinator Sylvia Barber for more information! Also, check out our Nursery page for a better idea of what we offer. (Please note that background checks are required in all positions working with children)

Children:

Our children’s ministry is top notch. We’re fictional, so hey, why not? If you feel God calling you to help form the faith of tomorrow’s Christians, please contact our Children’s Education chairperson, Tobias Castaneda, or check out our Sunday School page. (Please note that background checks are required in all positions working with children)

Youth:

The youth team spends time with our middle high and high school students, building relationships and mentoring them during a challenging time in their lives. Our youth need people of all ages in their lives, and there are a variety of opportunities to serve in this ministry, whether you have kids in this age range, are single, or are more used to being called “granddad” or “grandma” than mom or dad. Contact our Young Adult Coordinator, Pastor Youth Guy for more information about how you can help nurture our next generation of Christians! Or check out our Youth Ministry page. (Please note that background checks are required in all positions working with children)
