Construction Has Begun

After many years of dreaming, this year CPC has finally engaged in a remodel project to make our building a more welcoming and inclusive space for all. The work began this summer and we plan for it to wrap up this month in time for our Christmas Eve services.

Many folks will be needed as we have a a post-construction clean up and move in day, Saturday the 17th of December. Plan to come and be a part of settling in to the newly remodeled space that includes:

  • A bright, well-lit, covered walkway to our new welcoming entrance for the church. The new entry goes directly through the office and a new lobby into the narthex and sanctuary. There is no more long walk down a dark hallway!
  • We now have two updated modern bathrooms in the main part of the building; both accessible.
    • Updated and remodeled Women’s bathroom
    • New Unisex family bathroom with shower
  • New flooring throughout most of the first floor of the building.
  • New, more energy efficient lighting in the office and entryway.
  • New HVAC systems in the lobby and office area, and in the community room.

It is our fervent prayer that these changes will help Central be a place where people can gather in comfort and safety; where the love that Central’s membership feels for each other and our friends will be visible to our neighbors and guests.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all who have made this remodel possible through your generous contributions and volunteer time. Watch for information about an Epiphany Dedication party for the new space in January!
